Abbott's
at
339 Main Street, was started by Mr. and Mrs. John Abbott in the spring
of 1946. It has served more than just great food. Many past and present
Hobart residents have wonderful memories of spending time at Abbott's.
With music playing, crammed with school kids during lunch, it was the
place to be. The fixtures behind the counter have not changed much in
the last 40 years. Mr. and Mrs. Abbott sold the restaurant in 1968 to
Mr. George Fitusis and John Poponas.
